Always Handmade, Always One of a Kind and Always Eco Friendly!

Welcome to City Kid Style!  My name is Claudia and this little company was born out of a desire to offer little girls hip and comfy clothing. City Kid Style offers products for kids, pets and people that are handmade, one of a kind, and sustainable.  Made from a mix of old and new fabrics, every item is sewn and hand screen printed out of my home sewing studio in Seattle, Washington.  

When I started sewing for my toddler daughter, I would try out new projects by using my husband's old t shirts and button downs.  I realized that these items of old clothing  made perfectly good new clothing.  By upcycling, I could make new clothes for my daughter and I could also help to make a small impact on our environment.  I spent many hours sewing up cool, comfy and hip threads for my daughter out of old clothing.  In 2013 I quit my full time job in Education to focus on launching City Kid Style so that hip little kiddos everywhere could wear my one of a kind clothing!  

As my business grew, I began to learn more about sustainability and the environmental impacts of the fashion industry.  This instilled in me a desire to expand my business beyond children's clothing.  After examining the best way to do so without creating additional waste, I added bags and home goods to my product line, offering a little something for everyone, not just kids!
